Event Photography

I’m based in Kent and regularly work across London, Surrey, Sussex and the South East. I have travelled as far as Liverpool, Birmingham, Wales and Cornwall for location shoots. 

I regularly shoot events at London Excel, Olympia, Business Design Centre and many hotels throughout the city. I’m also happy to travel further for events, festivals, brand shoots and larger photography projects.

Travel is included for some local bookings, and any additional travel costs will always be discussed clearly before you book.

I shoot a range of events from conferences to burlesque, festivals to children’s science shows. If there are people gathering, I’m happy to be there with my camera!

Most event photography packages include planning time, shoot time, professional editing and a private online gallery where you can view and download your final images. The exact number of images and coverage time will depend on the package you choose.

All the photos you receive are carefully edited to ensure they look their best.

A photography brief is really helpful, especially for corporate events, conferences and brand activations.. and it doesn’t need to be complicated!

Information such as running order, key timings, important people, must have moments, branding requirements and how you plan to use the images is usually enough.

Usually the event organiser handles venue permissions and can organise a pass, but it’s worth checking whether the venue has any photography restrictions before booking.

Some conference centres, museums, private venues, outdoor spaces or performance areas may have rules around access, flash photography or particular areas for safety or security. If there are restrictions, just let me know beforehand and we can talk through an adjusted shoot plan.

Quite often this is possible, yes. For events with multiple stages, breakout rooms or activities happening simultaneously, we can look at the schedule together and decide whether one photographer can cover everything effectively or whether a second photographer would be better.

Many times, I can dip between the two rooms over the course of the activities and that works well, but I have a couple of trusted photographers I work alongside on projects if required.

Turnaround time depends on the type and scale of the event. Smaller events are usually delivered sooner, while larger events and festivals may take a little longer due to the number of images involved. Event photography is very varied due to different editing requirements, I’ll always give you a clear estimated delivery time when you book.

For live events, same day delivery of a selected set of edited images is also available if you need photos quickly for social media, press or promotion.

If plans change, just let me know as soon as you can. I have a cancellation policy that you can review before booking. 

Yes, most bookings require a deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance is usually due before or shortly after the shoot, depending on the type of booking.

I can offer photography, video content or a hybrid content package. This works especially well for events, businesses, musicians and brands that need a mix of images and short form content. Videography packages will be live on the website shortly.

For live events I can connect to the sound desk to get the live sound, conduct interviews or gather testimonials and create highlight reels.

My photography style is natural, colourful and full of energy. I focus on real moments, genuine expressions and images that feel alive rather than overly staged. 

As an avid people watcher anyway, I have a keen eye for intimate moments and capture them in a non-intrusive way.

With experience in both photography and marketing, I understand both sides of the camera and how images need to work in the real world.

If there are specific privacy requirements or attendees who should not be photographed, let me know before the event and we can agree the best way to manage it with your team. Often we use marked lanyards on events or stickers, but guests are welcome to speak to me on the day too! 

Definitely. With a background in marketing, I think about how your images will actually be used while I’m shooting.

I always for a useful mix of landscape, portrait and detail shots, including images suitable for social media, websites, PR, email campaigns, internal communications and future event promotion.
